When the implant no longer represents you
The reasons vary. Many patients feel the implant no longer fits, want a smaller and more natural breast or have changed their style. Others have some implant complication, which I assess case by case.
It is not a campaign against silicone. Women who want to keep their implants are welcome here too.
You do not leave without your breast.
The fear of an empty-looking breast is legitimate. Here I explain why, in most cases, the removal comes together with reshaping.
Remove and reshape
Small implant and a breast that sags little: sometimes removal alone is enough, and a little fat can be added
Large implant, a breast that sags a lot and extra skin: removal together with a breast lift, with BIO IMPLANTE® as a step
BIO IMPLANTE® uses the tissue left at the base of the breast to give volume and make the breast rounder.
Your path, from the first meeting to the last follow-up.
Essence Day
About 2 hours at the clinic, with the nutritionist, an exam and a drawing of your case.
Planning
You receive your surgical plan and decide in your own time.
Preparation
A full check-up and follow-up with the nutritionist.
Surgery
With Dra. Diana Matoso, the anesthesiologist who works with me.
Aftercare
Follow-ups from 1 week to 1 year, with physiotherapy and lymphatic drainage.
Safety is not assumed. It is explained.
Fear of surgery and anesthesia is legitimate. That is why it has room in the consultation, and every step is explained before it happens.
The anesthesiologist who works with me
Dra. Diana Matoso reviews your tests and explains the anesthesia 2 to 4 weeks before surgery. Often what patients fear most is the anesthesia.
Time to ask everything
In the consultation you talk openly about what worries you. I explain each step until you feel safe.
Preparation before surgery
A full check-up (tests, micronutrients, vitamins and hormones) and follow-up with the nutritionist, so you arrive well prepared.
Close to you afterwards
Follow-ups at 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year, with physiotherapy and lymphatic drainage. The taping is changed every week at follow-ups.
Where you will be welcomed.

“Minha experiência com o Dr. Roger Vieira até o momento tem sido excepcional. Desde as consultas pré-operatórias, ele demonstra uma atenção rara: escuta com calma, esclarece cada detalhe com muita clareza e transmite uma segurança real, algo fundamental para quem está se preparando para um procedimento cirúrgico. Foi, disparadamente, a consulta mais completa, humana e respeitosa que já tive. (…)”

Frequently asked questions
Can the implant be removed and the breast reshaped in the same surgery?
Yes, when the tissue allows. If the implant was small and the breast sags little, sometimes removal alone is enough. With a large implant, a breast lift is often needed as well, and BIO IMPLANTE® is part of it. The idea is that you leave without the implant, but not without your breast.
How long is the surgery? Which anesthesia is used?
On average, 3 to 4 hours. It is usually epidural anesthesia with sedation, with you asleep.
Does it hurt?
I use epidural anesthesia with sedation and preparation with a nutritionist and a full check-up so recovery is more comfortable. Each patient reacts differently.
When can I go back to work, drive and exercise?
By my guidance, and it varies by patient: office work in 3 to 4 days; driving after 7 days; light arm training from 21 days; arm and torso training after 6 weeks.
Do I need a bra or compression garment?
I recommend a post-operative garment for about 2 months. You leave surgery with taping on the breasts, changed every week at follow-ups.
When do I talk to the anesthesiologist?
After you confirm the plan and complete the pre-operative tests, 2 to 4 weeks before surgery, with Dra. Diana Matoso. She reviews the results and explains the anesthesia. Often what patients fear most is the anesthesia, and this conversation is there to give you security.
Is Dr. Roger against silicone?
No. In some cases an implant makes sense, and women who want one are welcome. A silicone-free breast is one more choice, made with information.
